Thanks to the stormy all-rounder of Dwayne Bravo, Chennai Super Kings defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians by one wicket and got a big bang in the IPL. Breaking sixes in the last over, Bravo gave a wonderful innings of 68 off 30 balls to the winning team. Bravo hit three fours and seven sixes in his innings.

Earlier, Mumbai scored 165 for four wickets. Chennai's start in reply to 166 runs is not a special one. Mumbai's surprise package Mayank Markandey has troubled Chennai's batting line-up with his googly. On 118, 8 wickets in the team had returned to the pavilion and the possibility of Mumbai's win was increasing, but Bravo, who came to bat at number seven, Akell turned the match on his own.

The match was exciting when they hit the 19th over of the innings, they hit three sixes in Bumrah's delivery but were out on the final ball. In the last over, Chennai needed 7 runs to win. It was felt that Mumbai won because Kedar Jadhav had returned to Pavilion by retired heart, but with pain, Kedar came to the ground and let Mumbai wait. They scored some runs on the first three balls of Munaffijur but by hitting the fourth ball on the fourth ball, they first leveled the score and sent the next delivery out of the cover boundary to give the team victory with two wickets.

Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson started the innings for Chennai. Watson (16 runs) made Pandya welcome with sixes but in the next ball attempting to hit the ball, Louise was caught by the square leg at deep square leg. After Watson was dismissed, Rayudu took charge and scored runs against his old team.

Rohit used four bowlers during the powerplay. On the last ball of the last over of Powerplay, Pandya gave Suresh Raina the second success of the team. During the powerplay, Chennai scored 42 runs for two wickets.

In the next over, Mayank Markandey took his first wicket with Rayudu, LBW off his googly. If he used the DRS against Kedar Jadhav, then Chennai would be in trouble. But he changed the opposition team's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to LBW. Dhoni scored just 5 runs off 6 balls. Chennai were struggling after losing 4 wickets on 51

Before the rising run rate, the Chennai batsmen could not keep themselves comfortable and lost wickets at regular intervals. Jadeja became the victim of Mustafizur Rahman by scoring 12 runs. On the last ball of his last over, Mayank stamped Deepak Chahar and gave a big blow to Chennai's hopes. But Bravo finally changed everything from his game.
